Its a Realistic Reverb. A highly bendable unit, but I haven't modified mine yet. I use it to add just a bit of depth to the Chimera. I do own a Realistic Mixer though

you should be embarrassed and ashamed to own a realistic. just kidding. so then waht's the actual spring for? more reverb? does that realistic have a spring in it? i've been in the market for a really cheap spring unit - maybe will check that out.

Ha, I actually bought that Realistic Mixer in the late 80s so I could do some DJ work for a christian rapper. I've used it since for mixer feedback which it has a pretty different characteristic then most others I've heard. Of course there probably is no bigger cliche in current improvised music then mixer feedback, so it mainly sits idle.The Realistic reverb is not a spring reverb, its just a cheap digital one. Its primary aspect is its bendability, but I'm finding it nice in direct line with the synth. As for the spring reverb I'm running it through the effects send of the mixer mainly to add some zing to the contact mics, but also for direct manipulation (which I don't really do, but the option is there).

I played a really terrible solo set a week ago with this setup and three microphones.

I thought you guys would get a kick out of that. But I have no regret for anything that happened when I was sixteen. It takes some doing to get past ones upbringing. Anyway I'd be a lot more ashamed of being a Bad Plus fan post college

I have non-blurry pictures, but I like this one better.
For the immediate future my setup is prepared guitar, tapes, a bunch of pedals and a cheap mixer. I'm just trying to see what I can get out of this setup, it's more than I ever had before though. I got the mixer, the kaoss pad, and a few of those pedals all within the last month, so I'm having fun. Student loans FTW!
