I dunno. When I link to an image from tumblr, it never seems to remain long. The same thing happened a few pages back where I posted a picture of David K and his 4-tracks; it was visible for about a day.

Here's my minimal folk noise rock non-extravaganza. The goal was to create a setup for performing live with my project Eat Rust. It's a primitive one: a guitar simply plugged into a practice amp, plus a microphone attached to it then running through a delay and an overdrive/distortion pedal. The sound-palette ranges from tasty buzzing feedback, pseudo-acoustic voice, there are really nice percussive effects and I can sing into the microphone. Simple yet effective, though maybe a bit limited.

I use the exact same setup for "regular" DJing and for "improv" music.

Not pictured: Technics turntables, which go on either side of this box.


I also replaced a Pioneer EFX-1000 with this circuit-bent delay thingy that some crazy people in the UK make. It's pretty cool but I'm still mastering it:

its not a computer (well... depends how you define computer of course...) it is an old scan converter I use to convert VGA to composite. its big and heavy and thats all it does for me
