Re: Recent Acquisitions

Finally bought it, and i'm so far pretty satisfied with it.
The thing is damn light and the plastic body is really crappy (if you move it while recording there is a real lot of interferences) but the recording is really good with enough mic options (front 90°, rear 120°, 2 or 4 ch). The interface is pretty simple and it takes 2 sec to connect it to a computer.
Too bad there is no XLR like on the H4 but that one was out of my price range.

make sure you fill out and return the warranty card.bzr wrote:

been looking at the H4n, as its got the 1/4 inch/XLR inputs.. does the H2 have a 1/4 in. or 1/8 in. input (for direct recording) ?
do you think the sound quality is comparable between the H4 and H2?
edit, looks like an eighth-inch input on the H2n

^^ thanks for the tip! Did you have any bad experience with it yourself?Charon wrote:make sure you fill out and return the warranty card
I tried a H4 I borrowed from a friend a few months ago, the H4 sounds a little warmer but I really don't think it can justify the price gap. But the overall material quality of the H4 is way better, the plastic case of the H2 makes you feel you're holding a toy...Mono tony wrote:do you think the sound quality is comparable between the H4 and H2?
There is a 1/8 inch input, having no XLR is not really a problem to me as I need a real stand-alone recorder.
I'll try to put as soon as possible some non-edited stuff online to let you judge the sound quality.
Re: Recent Acquisitions
you could say that..... I completely forgot about the warranty card until it was too late, and last year (after only having used it a couple of months) it died on me. The adapter that it came with had stopped working, so I had been using it with batteries, but after a while it just stopped turning on.....bzr wrote:^^ thanks for the tip! Oh Juno 6... how I love you. I've been thinking about selling some of my old mono synths recently but I would never part with old Juno.
I haven't used it for anything in a while though... I think 2012 might have a Juno 6 flavour.

Bought a used Digitech Synth Wah pedal. The previous owner removed the original cover whatsoever, maybe he wanted to re-paint it or something... Honestly, I'm not too keen abuot the original sparkling green finish either

Grundig TK120
Now I need to find a 5 pin mic and a even weirder connector for the speaker.
I'll probably be able to use it in 5 years or more...

Re: Recent Acquisitions

The most recent addition, a contact mic made into the body of a My Little Pony doll. I use it more as a regular mic than a contact mic because I think it's funny.

I have a 5 pin to phono lead that I don't use if it's of any use to you. If so, PM me..bzr wrote:Grundig TK120

Weird connector can just be removed and make a new one with the cables inside?
I mean, can they really have that much more than + - g on the inside?
Unless it's too nice to butcher like that, which is a fair point.
