I've been on a real documentary kick on Karagarga, downloading what I can, and what looks interesting (And there are quit a number of fascinating docs on there I might add). Anyone seen any good documentaries recently?

I recently viewed a movie on urban graffiti art, "The Deepest Depth of the Burrow", and a movie about US military men who became "turncoats" when they fled to China after the Korean War to stay and live in China instead of going back to the US, where they thought fascism existed and they were anti-war, "They Chose China". Next up, "Joanna Lumley's Trans-Siberian Adventure". This one looks really good, follow Joanna Lumley as she travels from Hong Kong to Moscow and stuff.

The John Pilger Coming War On China was freeleech until very recently - hope you grabbed that. (Then again, with Pilger, you know which side of the political fence you'll be on. Not a problem for me.) The documentary that blew me away earlier in the year was Frederick Wiseman's Monrovia Indiana (review on the other thread). I was a bit underwhelmed by the David Toop thing (still have to write that up, I think). And of course, any BBC David Attenborough nature documentary is more or less obligatory. The greatest living Englishman for me, no doubt. That'll keep you busy, Mark!

Yes I did download that one and watched it, didn't know so many missiles were pointing at China! :\
