Now Playing: Stephan Mathieu's new 2015 release. It's a long one, I think over 3 hours long.

Beirut - Gulag Orkestar

I wouldn't necessarily label them as indie rock. Is that what is generally assumed? It's pretty darned good, mix of rock and Balkan sounding music (???).

Didn't listen to M.I.A. for a while. Just put together a two-and-a-half hour long compilation including the mix-tape material, tracks from extended album releases and other odd stuff - plays now and it's fun! I'm not entirely happy about her 2013-CD, but the handful of tracks I selected from Matangi hold up very well amidst the older stuff.

Parks/Rossetto, Severe Liberties

Not perfect, I don't think, but with something extremely beautiful in each of its three tracks.
