Not sure the story with the cows does much service to it though.
This is a great disc. Similar to his compositions on Kairos (The Book Of Serenity). Apparently all composed around 2006, though there is a much stronger Feldman feel to Sais. A more obvious pulse driving Sais with more tangible resolutions (even though temporary). It's like bringing feldman to the 21st century.
There is an early recording circulating on the net (which I heard first), but the recording on this disc is vastly superior, more dynamic, and the performers are really outstanding.
My favourite in '14 so far.

this is great, seconding the thanks. it vaguely recalls gavin bryars' "hommages," but less so on further listens. seems more settled, tonally, than some of feldman's music.

yes, preorders are quite welcome, as it's pricy to put together. it will be an edition of 500, not repressed, three individually packaged CDs (as pictured above), a 12 page booklet with lengthy notes by Michael, and a beautiful outer box with a photo collage by Greg Stuart. it's $50 plus shipping, $56 in the US and $66 overseas, payment to erstrecs@aol.com (also there is a button on the side of the GW site to order if you prefer).

there are a lot of parts coming from different places which Yuko will hand assemble, but we are hoping it will be ready around the end of Sept.
