I hate motorik

Howdy y'all!

I'm in the market for some good motorik, but as luck would have it, the internet-at-large doesn't have much to offer in terms of "essential albums/artists/songs" lists. I did chance upon a good Quietus article on the subject, but I'm eager to hear more.

I'm particularly curious to hear newer motorik as I'm fairly familiar with a lot of the motorik from the kraut canon, but any recommendations would be appreciated.

At this point, as far as newer motorik goes, I've heard the following:
-Circle
-Pharaoh Overlord
-Stereolab
-Th' Faith Healers
-Quickspace/Quickspace Supersport
-Trans Am
...and that's about it.

Again, any recommendations would be appreciated. Artists, albums, songs, anything.

wooden shjips get into that kind of grove in their better work. i haven't heard the latest yet, but give 'shrinking moon for you' or the extended mix of 'dance, california'. also sun araw, magic lantern...

there's also a metric ton or two of motorik music coming out of the cassette scene these days. a good third of the stunned records catalog, but damned if i know which third.

In quite recent stuff, you can check:
- the song "So Ein Dinger", by Spökraket (a young band from Denmark (not sure)).
- the album "Dragonwizardsleeve" by Blackwolfgoat (I thought about it as you quoted Pharoah Overlord, in the riff-o-rama vein).

Old Motorik:

Autobahn by Kraftwerk (Motorik Starts @ 16:50) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-G28iyPtz0

New Motorik:
Heart by Boredoms (Newer Motorik) http://youtu.be/pk4daEiXlE8

Personally, I find most newer motorik to be derivative of older motorik music, but the Boredoms prove you can do something new with the old beat.
