well, I'm still alive, although my ears aren't quite back yet.
Carlos, I'm glad you posted, I didn't get a chance to say anything to you on the way out, but what I wanted to say I might as well say publicly, which is that your work as a festival organizer is seriously fucking inspiring to me, and there's probably literally not another person in the world I would say that to. congrats, dude, you're the man, hope you keep on keeping on with this thing for a long time.
that being said, I've got my fix and I'm done for the weekend most likely. the Dilloway set was crazy, I haven't seen anything like that before in my evidently somewhat cloistered existence. hopefully Yuko got some good pix, she was right on the left speaker for 3 or 4 sets, I'll post some today probably.

talking is difficult

tonight is going to be even crazier and i cant fucking wait
Carlos, you're an inspiration to us all if I may say so, thank you so so much for everything
and yes, getting on stage with Dilloway was incredible, landed was incredible, deathpile, can't, bone awl, grunt, air conditioning, carlos and karkowski, 16bitch, smegma, everyone i saw. and my ears are still ringing a tad

Had a pretty great time. Smegma and Dilloway far away the highlights of the night. Also the bearded dude from No Neck absolutely smashed and falling on me in the shuttle back to the subway station.

loved giffoni and karkowski, dilloway, cant, Zeena Parkins and Ikue Mori among others.. realized that corsano could power a small country with the dynamo of energy he generates.. i wish i could attend the last two nights but work will not let me.

Yea last night was great. watching dilloway reminded me of how much i've changed since my hardcore days, cause i just kept thinking was that someone was going to die.
can't was incredible, as was corsano and the carlos/karkowski. missed smegma, unfortunately.
have to get ready for tonight somehow.

last night was pretty boring, but i was at home in edmonton, playing DS and listening to the new sparks with my wife's legs crushing my nuts.

i'm skipping tonight because my ears just couldnt take it
hopefully they'll recover by sunday >:|
i was pissed i couldnt get close enough to actually see any of the downstairs acts. since i live in the middle of new jersey i also left after zeena and ikue mori which was the main act i wanted to see that night anyway, but i did want to see smegma and landed. landeds playing one of door's shows soon anyway i think, though. tomorrow i'd only really want to see wolf eyes and hive mind and there will be enough opportunities to see them
i want to see pretty much everything tomorrow, though.

carlos, yuko sends her apologies to you because her camera battery died right at the start of your set, so she didn't get any pix of that, but I'm sure you have plenty from other people.
here are some from the sets she did shoot, this first bunch is from the Aaron Dilloway set, in chronological order.
for people who weren't there, you need to picture directly behind him (not in these pix because of the angle) Nate Young, Spencer Yeh, someone I didn't know, John Olsen, and Greh. they started off somewhat sedate, pumping their fists occasionally, but by the second half of the set, they were all on top of Dillo, and the end of the set was a sea of people engulfing Dilloway, both the musicians behind him and the audience up on the stage.

Oh man, Landed were so much fun. You should have stayed.
I forgot earplugs yesterday, which was a big mistake. Dillo ruled, can't (albeit too short...), giffoni/karkowski was great... looking forward to tonight, unfortunately I'll have to show up late. Hopefully won't have to miss Menche, one of my most anticipated sets.

by this point, the guys behind Aaron were all going nuts, Greh had a chair over his head (I think partly for the benefit of the people filming it), and chaos (albeit a pretty controlled form) was beginning to break out.

and lastly, Aaron being fully engulfed, hard to really capture unless you were somehow overhead:
