ErstQuake 3

Post by jon abbey »

so, we've been working on the lineup for ErstQuake 3 for a while, we started doing it much earlier this time around. I'm not ready to announce too much of it yet, but I'm so excited after this duo confirmed today that I have to share:

this'll be their US debut, Ami's first time in NYC (maybe first time in the US?).

it's not totally sure yet, but it looks like it will be 4 nights, 9/28-10/1, 5 sets a night, plus a two set matinee on Sunday, so 22 sets in total. once the dates are locked in, I'll put them in the subject line here...

anyone excited about this should buy Chris Letcher a pint or a CD or something, as he's directly sponsoring Sachiko and Ami's trip.

IIRC Chris stuck with the Root Beer at our after show jive sessions, but I'm sure he'd enjoy a few of those on the house. Seriously EQIII is looking to be another must attend and my hat's off to Chris for helping make it possible.

are you ready to share some more of the lineup with us, even when the dates are not yet confirmed?

it's still seven months away, there's no rush, and I'd like to make sure things are actually happening before I announce them. I'm all for jumping the gun and giving people lots of info about festivals as soon as possible, so they can make plans whether to come or not, but it's a little premature to announce much more of it right now, although I'm sure I'll break down soon enough.

I will say that I believe there are at least seven people who post on this site who will be taking part in the festivities (as performers) and they can feel free to out themselves if they'd like.
