still haven't heard this, though the 1st one is excellent. When I was buying Italian prog this had been reissued as a limited edition gold cd or something & either sold out or got pretty expensive.
Might try looking to see if its had a different release since now though.

this is pretty good but definitely not my favourite Italian prog set.
Far prefer Semiramis Dedicato a Fraz, Baletto di Bronzo ys, Cervello Melos, 1st PFM
among others.

Definitely worth tracking down if you can, I've never grown tired of this record. Their first is great too, but Darwin! is superb. Fairly similar sound as the debut but more focused as a set, and Francesco Di Giacomo absolutely kills it with his devasting vocals.

Fair enough. I'm rather fond of the 1st PFM as well, not familiar with some of the others you mention so I'll have to do some investigating.

Museo Rosenbach are perhaps not quite as interesting musically as Banco or PFM but what does it for me is those huge mellotron themes, and of course nostalgia (I had it taped onto cassette as a teenager, played it to death).

Experimental music should be something that suggests a way of organizing your thinking, your attitude toward the world, which suggests that the world could be different.
