Experimental music should be something that suggests a way of organizing your thinking, your attitude toward the world, which suggests that the world could be different.

Stephan Mathieu's Crónicast 044, "On the Concept of History" (An Introduction / 2008 Top 16)
Available for download at http://www.cronicaelectronica.org/?p=cronicaster
Cronica asked Mathieu for his top ten list for 2008 and he apparently had some trouble since he had spent most of the year listening to 78s. So instead of giving a list of those, he transcribed a bunch of sides and made a podcast for them. A variety of nice sides, interspersed with some fun sound effect/field recording 78s.

Carlos Giffoni / The Rita, Two On A Match, No Fun
Just about perfect for my mood right now. Waiting for the neighbours to arrive, I'm practising my Walt Kowalski growl.
