AMM Laminal disc 1: Aarhus Denmark in 1969 (Matchless Recordings)

After talking about this yesterday I felt the need to bring this into work and spin it again. Actually a nice bit of continuity having listened to AMMMusic recorded in 1966, The Crypt, from a show in 1968 and finally this one from 1969 all this week.

Ryoji Ikeda, Test Pattern. Not sure what to think of this one yet. It seems more relentless than some of his other releases.

Beautifully done, kindly direct me to further Menche, his discography is ridiculous.

I highly recommend Vent, from the same era. It's a nice mix of noisy textures, tactile sounds and uncomfortable drones. I'm not so fond of Static Burn, it's somewhat similar to Field of Skin but not quite as interesting, IMO. Legions in the Walls is cool, really dense walls of sound, barely changing. Crawling Towards the Sun is a nice drone piece, as well, but I kind of stopped keeping up with his output around that time. That said, I really enjoyed his afternoon live performance in NYC during Erstquake 2.
