we're not going to change the dates, we'll hopefully announce something soon, working on it as fast as possible.

But man they better get places with comfortable seats or our asses are going to be feeling it.

there will be breaks, old man. I'm thinking sets maybe 30-40 minutes long in general, with 15-20 minute breaks in between. but feel free to bring a pillow for your sensitive lil' bottom...

Cool, I'll start looking a flights then. Still last year I found the best deals about two weeks before hand, so I'm in no rush. Are we going to be able to buy tickets for the shows in advance?

yeah, as soon as we get a venue, what I think we're going to do is let people preorder tix via PayPal, which won't involve actual tix, we'll just put your names on a list, but that way you won't have any worries about getting in.

Sounds good. Really looking forward to this, one of the few things keeping me going through this current binge of work I'm engaged in.

My wife will also be there and hating music, especially because we were sitting in front of the PA during Lescalleet/Kelley last year. She really really hated that.

Nice.... I say liven it up and say you got sprayed by an uzi so your shirt will resemble your avatar. I have never been to Detroit, but from what people say about the airport alone makes me against connecting flights with that hell hub.

I might be in New York during this time in September for the Erstquake. Is there anyone that can host me, for a few days during the festival. It would make it much easier for me to be able to go to the concerts, and I don't mind sleeping on sofas.

Hey Geoff, I think I mentioned this to you on that classical music thread on that other board (the one that must remain unnamed, aka hipinion), but you could stay with me if you like. Only problem is I'm about 40 minutes outside NYC (there is a train that costs about $12 roundtrip each day, or I can drive my car in) and I'll probably be back and forth between school, so you'd probably have to slum around a bit with me. Let me know if you can't find someone who actually lives in Manhattan to stay with, I'll certainly be able to house/feed ya.

well, I'm happy and a bit relieved to announce that ErstQuake will not be taking place on a street corner, as we now definitely have a venue.

it looks like it will probably be the same place as last year, Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center (107 Suffolk St., between Rivington and Delancey, around the block from Tonic), but this time in the smaller of the two main rooms, where we actually wanted to do it last year until they moved us to the larger of the two. we definitely have this room if we want it.

we're still investigating one other possibility, also in lower Manhattan (near the Knitting Factory), but it'll be one of those two, likely Clemente again.

advance tickets will go on sale soon via PayPal, probably through me, I'll keep you posted once we lock into one of those venues and put tix on sale, but there's no reason to wait on plane tix and setting up a place to stay anymore. whoo hoo!
