Absolutely.

in case my post appeared too negative, i do want to add that there are a number of really wonderful tracks on AZ (tracks C, D, E, F, J and M especially) and that i've found listening to the whole project really enjoyable. congrats and thanks to all involved.

i haven't read any of the reviews yet but i hope all of this negativity doesn't mean people will think less of what is, in some cases, very nice music.

i think i could probably enjoy this as a first and last time kind of thing. if in the future other labels decided to do a similiar project i would definitely ignore it though. I have way too many unopened records and cds that i am anxious to listen to, a digital overload of mp3s/flac and lots of records that i want to hear a second time/third time. i am sure i pass over tons of amazing new artists (outside the realm of anonymous) for the same exact reason, which kind of makes me wonder at what point i do begin to seek out new music... i don't know...

most of these are down due to megaupload collapse, but this idea (with heavy modifications) for 'harsh noise walls' was presented like a year or two ago and got updated recently.

and the inevitably colorful noise scene response. :D

that's just their update list #402.5. they don't seem to be archiving the off-week lists anymore. doesn't actually have anything to do with the anonymous zone apart from the (coincidental?) timing.

yeah, no connection, but there are still some listings in their archive if you want to get an idea:
