thanks, Mark H did a fantastic job on that one.

we've announced the working story list for issue #3, possibly things will still be added or others pushed back if they're not ready in time, but this is the plan, aiming for August publication:

Michael Pisaro on Toshiya Tsunoda
Richard Pinnell on Consumer Waste
Brian Olewnick on Potlatch
Charles Eppley on Walter De Maria
Marc Medwin on the 'erstwand' overlap, Wandelweiser artists on Erstwhile
Kurt Newman on the history and politics of Christian Wolff's 'Braverman Music'
Jon Dale on Arek Gulbenkoglu
'memorable'-Dominic Lash, Anthony Guerra

that's a really exciting working list, particularly looking forward to reading Pisaro on Tsunoda (just read an old Wolf Notes the other day with a transcript of a talk by Pisaro that touched on Crosshatches, rather elucidating!)

super job on issue #2 to all concerned, some top notch writing, very informative, and a lot to think about. thank you!

august, alas. nor september i'm afraid. we're still working on gathering a last couple of articles, looks like we should go to print before the end of october.

which means that anyone thinking of something for issue #4, you have a little more time to work on it!

Thank you for the two issues that are out now already. I really liked Taku Unami's article, I found it to be a dark yet humorous exposé of a "Starving Artist" living the dream!

You should read Lu Xun's The True Story of Ah Q...

from the best of 2014 thread:
bnuob wrote:As much as I love Detour, I have been pining for more information about it since its release.
I remembered that the forward thinking people at surround have anticipated your needs in this area and detour will be covered as part of two lengthy pieces in the new issue, Michael Pisaro's encyclopedic Tsunoda piece and Marc Medwin's journey through the 'erstwand' collaborations to date. a double dose of 'detour' plus a bit of crosshatched 'crosshatches', hopefully we will have this up within the next month, much slower than we wanted as usual but I believe it will have been worth the wait (and you can't beat the price).

I see we didn't update the contents list here, I believe this is the final one:

Michael Pisaro on the folded worlds of Toshiya Tsunoda
Matt Krefting on The Basement Tapes
Brian Olewnick talks to Jacques Oger/Potlatch
Marc Medwin on the 'erstwand' overlap, Wandelweiser artists on Erstwhile
Charles Eppley on Walter De Maria
Jon Dale talks to Arek Gulbenkoglu
'memorable'-C. Spencer Yeh, Dominic Lash
