V/A - Subtropics, Vol. 1 - Breath

Philippe Blanchard / Christian Renou - Play:Lunch

Sten Olof Hellström, Paulina Sundin, Peter Lundén - 1:2:3

Y-Ton-G - Klangspiegel-einer vergessenen Wesenheit - I couldn't find the cover shot - which leads me to believe it's OOP....

just to be clear, that's a different and far inferior record to Aida, AC is the one with dreaful sound quality and him playing with Japanese improvisers on some small US label, Aida is solo.jpeatt wrote:regretting selling my copy of Aida's Call for $20 (although that was 5 years ago).

Listening to Septet, but this time I really cranked it up ! (I mean it's louder than the sound of myself sitting in the chair
)
and it's quite nice you know...

Re: what are you listening to? a second wave
Yeah, that one ain't too good, at least sound quality-wise -- I remember there being some nice spiky moments however. And yes, Aida is much better. I got it mainly to hear Abe play with Bailey (are there any more collaborations of thiers recorded?) It was my introduction to Bailey along with the Harrass album, another I don't like too much. I continued to plow on with Bailey until it finally clicked later... I'm not sure why I do that with certain musicians. It just sounded like I was missing something.jon abbey wrote:just to be clear, that's a different and far inferior record to Aida, AC is the one with dreaful sound quality and him playing with Japanese improvisers on some small US label, Aida is solo.jpeatt wrote:regretting selling my copy of Aida's Call for $20 (although that was 5 years ago).

Ah, I see. It was early (when I posted that). Maybe I should be glad to have gotten $20....

New Sights, Old Sounds was also recorded on that Japanese trip in 1978, a beautiful solo record also on my Derek short list.

The grammatical rules associated with diagrammatic reduction become apparent by considering a more tractable diagrammatic representation, applied to the Windsor knot in Fig. 8. - Fink & Mao, Tie knots, random walks and topology, (Physica A 276)
