Stevie Wonder: "Higher Ground"

this and the Velvet Underground Live 69 recording of "What Goes On" are my two king jams of the past weeks...

Here are a few songs that I have encountered that I have listened to on endless repeat.

Toadies – "Tyler"
Inner Circle - "Bad Boys"
Aphex Twin - "Girl/Boy Song"

Then we left the room. We just had to see the aftermath so we came back about 20 minutes or so later, to see some jocks physically assaulting the jukebox as John offered to take them down one more time. Good times.
:) i remember someone did same thing in a bar but the song was 'in-a-gadda-da-vida', it was soon fixed by locals by unplugging the jukebox

Love the Diedre Wilson Tabac version, I'll have to get that. It's an Al Kooper thing, right? Might have it somewhere...

I have been rocking a Japanese synthpunk 7" I picked up the other day over and over again.

I think the name of the group is Kichibai Mota, but that's going from a kana conversion chart I downloaded. I think I have the 'B' wrong (it has a mark like " after another kana. I remember this changes the sound, but forget to what. also, the mo and ta characters have - marked after them I recall this to be a pronunciation guide, indicating extended vowels, but does not change the 'spelling' of the word in its english transliteration. This is going on japanese 'learned' almost 18 years ago now.

Yes, I would post a cover scan if I had the capacity.

Anyway. It's awesome. Sounds like the Residents playing Nitzer Ebb covers. In japanese. Or something.

Thanks for your nice hint.

Here it is on archive.org in excellent quality - for the narrow minded northern soul dickheads like me. Excellent stuff.

And yes, Blues Project was a band with Al Kooper and he wrote this song. The album 'Projections' is one of my favourites in blues oriented psychedelic records. It has a light jazzy touch too.

Davy Graham's take on Lalo Schifrin's 'The fakir' not been 10 times in a row but do keep repeating it when i play the A Scholar & a gentleman compilation. think highest was 3x though.

May have had the Flamingoes I Only Have Eyes For You on repeat 10x in a row at one point but can't think of any other 1 track.

One other i had repeating a lot was the remaster of the Bowie Mix of Raw Power. I think it was Death Trip mainly.
