What's this like?jon abbey wrote:
This was supposed to be ready close to two months ago, but there were some "issues".....I'm still waiting for the mail to come through.
I grew up with "Motorcade Sped On" and "Everything's Disappeared"...so I have high expectations for the collection.

What did you think of that? I liked his duo with Tetuzi Akiyama well enough and thought his idea of reviving the lute and various arcane tunings might be interesting. But everything I've heard by him on his own ranges from bad to terrible. Terrible here being some neo-Baroque plucking looped in various annoying ways.White Heat wrote:above is: Jozef Van Wissem- A Priori

I like this a lot. I've just bought two early albums, Retrograde - A Classical Deconstruction and Narcissus Drowning a few days ago, and I understand what you mean. It took a while to find his own voice, it seems. Have you heard Stations of the cross? It's interesting to hear how he applies his concepts of minimalism to this Baroque instrument. A Priori goes a step further in that.fearandpanic wrote:What did you think of that?
