I think these tracks are pretty slick, definitely interesting as far a regional rap trend that I would not have otherwise known about, as I am interested in the genre. What do you think of as good rap music?

Yeah...what?

Grabbed a few mixtapes from these chi guys, Bo Deal's chicago code 2 mixtape is pretty cool. I'm just glad there is some quality street rap coming out of Chicago right now...fuck a Cool Kids.

Sorry to heap more negativity on your post but this lady took all the wrong lessons from Lil B. A lot of his raps are lazy, but he raps a lot; he's not preaching some kind of gospel of laziness (something Soulja Boy should definitely realize, even more so then Big C). His best work transcends lazy raps that don't quite fit the beats. I may be kind of biased 'cause I think most of his SWAG SWAG SWAG stuff is pretty dumb and just listen to his CONSCIOUS raps, but still. Plus that Kreayshawn posturing 'bout half way through looks pretty ridiculous on her.

But...Fake Shore Drive posted up some unreleased Bump J...woop woop. Sucks he's in jail, but at least some unheard jams seem to still be out there.

never understood why people hated hipsters so vehemently until right now.

the lack of toilet paper is kind of a nice touch though.

Saw this today and was surprised I hadn't heard of half these artists. Besides Lito, Green Ova Underground, and King Louie, any of this shit worth checking out?? It's hard to gain any sort of critical edge from p4ks writing....anyone got any mus grips out of the batch? also what do people think the sort of editorial slant is here? why you think they jocking these tapes? p4k usually has an agenda, just saying.
It's a blues riff in B watch me for the changes

I really liked that Boldy James tape. His track Truck Driving School was stuck in my head for a long time. The KLC tape was pretty good too, great production + Mystikal. In response to pitchforks reason for backing these releases: I don't know who this Jeff Weiss is (although the name sounds familiar and maybe I should know who that is), but David Drake does we eat so many shrimp and I can usually get behind his opinions on rap music (both the Boldy James one and the KLC tape were written up by him).
