From '08 after a 30 year break, I'm unfamiliar with this person, pretty strong, a true baritone with a near goose-honking low end. Darker, sparse country guitar phrasing, fingertip fingerstyle. Reminds me of later, opiated Don Gibson with a lower voice.

i think it's a pretty effective update of the power electronics ethos. which is to say, there is some irony to it but mostly it's a respectful attempt to revive the same degree of nearly laughable 'offense' practiced by the genre in its height.

it's dominck fernow of prurient, by the way. at some point careful reproduction of something inherently idiotic retains a healthy dose of idiocy, irony or otherwise. i have downloaded by haven't listened yet, but i am fine with the vatican shadow i've heard elsewhere.
