"The All Golden" still astounds me no matter how many times I listen.

John Wall - Constructions V-VII

Never heard him before, ordered from Squid based on all the raves on here and on Richard Pinell's site. Pretty amazing so far, I have to say.

Complete Tape Music of Dick Raaijmakers (3 CD set on Basta)

Treasure trove of early Dutch tape music. Commissions, conceptual pieces, film and theater pieces. Some very solid material.

Mike Brooks - One Love

So glad to hear this, been trying to find for it for a few years now... I hope his records get re-issued eventually, none of them have been yet, aside from compilations.

Agree. The 2 Constructions discs and his last one Cphon are awesome.
It'd be interesting to see where he goes from there (interestingly in his interview at PT he was considering moving towards improvisation).

It took all my self-control to not instantly order his whole catalog while listening to this for the first time. I do have a shipment in transit from Mimaroglu so I'm trying to hold off for a week or two to give myself a chance to listen to this stuff before it gets buried...

the nice people at ErstDist have much better prices on Wall's catalog than Squidco, FWIW. :)

do you think you'll be stocking Cphon again at some point Jon? Squidco seems to be the only place that has it at the moment, and $16 for 20 minutes of music does seem a little high.
