Tom, I like the Chauveau music I've heard, how is the release you posted?

Experimental music should be something that suggests a way of organizing your thinking, your attitude toward the world, which suggests that the world could be different.

It's quite good Jesse.....quite subtle....mesmerizing, even hypnotic at points.
Incidentally, I also picked up his 2001 release Nocturne Impalpable for $2, but I probably shouldn't brag as he's boycotting DSA as the label apparently doesn't pay its artists. [I couldn't resist a great deal!]
Sylvain sounds pissed in fact

I am smitten by Your Naked Ghost Comes Back At Night And Flies Around My Bed , his collab with Steven Hess, really nice work.

SQ 10/13

What a superb body of work these quartets are, highly recommended.
I was content listening to the Fitzwilliam versions awhile, until Christian Weber insisted I check out the Borodin set. What a difference in spirit/elan!

Thanks for that, Jon.
Yeah, they've lost eight members since forming in 1945, only one of those deaths being a cellist.

This is actually one of the oldest releases I have on vinyl, my introduction to Dowland's music 30+ years ago. Remains a favorite, particularly for Pears' threnody.

What's that one like? I like her cello playing in small groups, but that appears to be an eclectic large-group thing.

Along same lines as the other Peggy Lee Band discs, if you know those. Band a little bigger this time. I'm guessing you might find it a little soft edged - let me know if you don't.
