Re: Now Playing
that alvear potlach release looks great. would like to hear some samples, but i'm having trouble locating. i have no use for a CD, but i'd be inclined to buy it digitally if that were an option.
Re: Now Playing
Spanish? Like when you say 'America' referring only to the US? Or, Spanish from Spain?bedouin wrote: there is some great music by Alvear on the Net.
John Cage, and some lesser known Spanish composers, ranging from contemporary guitar to more avant. check Santiago Astaburuaga here:

Re: Now Playing
Yeah, I hope you meant spanish speaking composers, Astaburuaga is from Chile.
Re: Now Playing
At the time I was reading the biography of Joaquín Rodrigo whose "Invocación & Danza" is also on Alvear's bandcamp site. Apologies if I offended anyone.

It was not offending at all. It was unclear.bedouin wrote:At the time I was reading the biography of Joaquín Rodrigo whose "Invocación & Danza" is also on Alvear's bandcamp site. Apologies if I offended anyone.

That Alvear on Potlatch was lovely—perhaps even more spare than I was expecting. I have his effort for Rhizome.s lined up today.
Additionally, I've recently enjoyed these:
Metzengerstein - Albero Specchio

Schnellertollermeier - X

Elder - Lore

Re: Now Playing
Can someone please help me! I don't know if it's a Lupe Fiasco or Kendrick Lamar song, this should be in the hip hop thread, but the song is around 9 minutes long and it has tons of piano chord progressions and then it ends with him harmonizing with himself. Does anyone know?

Unfortunately no. Honestly think I'm hallucinating cuz I fell asleep to it last night and I went through all the Lupe fiasco songs and got nothing.
