AGP (AvantGarde Project)

Post by dohduhdah »

Hi.

Maybe people here are familiar with the AvantGarde Project.

http://www.avantgardeproject.org/

Initially it was uploaded to piratebay, but at some point those torrents were removed by the original
uploader (username loudav). Though another uploader (username human2011) has recently added
some more recent AGP installments (AGP 169 to AGP 182).

Most of the content is still available here:

http://avantgardeproject.conus.info/mirror/archive.htm

http://ubu.com/sound/agp/index.html

http://dream.cs.bath.ac.uk/AvantGardePro...chive.html

On KAT (http://kickass.to/), some of the missing/incomplete ones can
be found and the two latest editions were added over a year
ago (AGP 181 and AGP 182).

It is my intention to obtain all of them in flac and upload them as a single AGP flac archive to TPB (piratebay).

I have them all except the following:

missing:

AGP019
AGP023
AGP063

incomplete:

AGP016
AGP028
AGP043
AGP060
AGP089
AGP106
AGP118
AGP124
AGP128
AGP129
AGP130
AGP141
AGP142
AGP144

If anyone has the flac version of the aforementioned missing/incomplete
torrents, I'd very much appreciate it if they could notify me (via email: dohduhdah@yahoo.com )
and share their copy.

Kind regards and thanks in advance, Niek

=============

update.. by now I've managed to complete my AGP flac collection. It will be uploaded to tpb soon.

You can try with acustica by Mauricio Kagel. Some years ago there was a beautiful version on AGP, with Vinko Globokar in the group. Dunno if there's still but if you're looking for bizarre stuff, you will appreciate. The partch's stuff is also pretty good if I remind well. There are also nice recordings of Xenakis and some recordings of Christian Wolff's stuff(Burdocks, ecc.).

Hi.

Recently, someone shared the missing/incomplete AGP folders, so by now I've completed my AGP collection and I will be uploading it soon to piratebay.

greetings, Niek

Great idea to have a single torrent for all. It can be found by searching "AGP" on TPB.

Thanks, and please do keep the torrent active!

At 63Gb with one seeder and 32 leechers, we're talking patience! I don't have the hard disk space free to hold all that, but if I did I'd get it and keep it seeding for sure. Wouldn't it be better on Karagarga?

I have no dog in this race, but that would be a big hit to people's ratio on KG who aren't in good shape there. TPB you don't have to worry about that, and it is of course more public.

Yes - well, we'll see how many seeders there are on it in a few days' time. Hope it takes off though - that was a great series, even though I came to it rather late in the game.

but the point of the whole project to begin with was for it to be public, putting it on a private tracker wouldn't make much sense.
