Yeah, absolutely! Very excited, folks who play 'this type of music' don't come through town very often at all! Jeph Jerman lives out in Cottonwood but he only plays in the PHX area once or twice a year at most... I might not be able to stay for the whole lineup but I'll be there for your set for sure. Sungsang is really interesting BTW, it's two guys, one of whom is has a MA in music and plays soprano sax like Terry Riley, and the other of whom is more of a noise/lofi electronics guy. those two elements are mixed with gamelan stuff. Chris always has his kids at his gigs too, an adorable little blond girl and a ten year old boy who sometimes plays sampler with the band...

Oh also the piece I thought I plagiarized was one of the tracks of niwi's 'dogs in english porcelain'. I listened to it once and a few weeks later wrote the score for my piece on valentine's day during a plane ride back from LA, and there are a couple similar elements to one of the tracks. guess it's a tribute to niwi that I could hear her piece once and things would emerge from my subconscious weeks later. I suppose if niwi heard it and didn't red flag it, it must not be too blatant then... :) I'm glad because I really worked hard on that piece too...

fwiw, niwi didn't do the tracklisting (she's helped on other fronts, as well as richard). but i didn't notice any plagiarizing. so if anyone is mad at not being included or etc, etc... blame me!

soon enough.

I mean. I wasn't even involved in this capacity until the track list was finalized. And then in the midst of working on the comp webdesign, I also completely broke the copy for your records site. so fixing that has been my first priority. but I'm still working on this too. and going for something on the simple side to make sure it just works and gets online soon.

Dude. I volunteered to work on the website because I thought I had time and you guys were getting anxious. That obviously didn't work to speed things up either. And I've already explained other factors in the timeline.

Since my life and workload is currently so heavy that I'm only sleeping every OTHER night at the moment. Steve's taken the task back on of finishing the website. When someone gets something done it'll be online.
