eRikm & Luc Ferrari: Visitation
(Planam, 2011) lp
'Visitation', created on April 1st, 2011 is a very unique kind of collaboration between two French sonic artists, master Luc Ferrari and eRikm. Here is eRikm direct testimony about this new work: 'When the sun set on April 1st, 2011 I heard through the windows of my house the repetitive song of a night bird. 'Madeleine' brought me immediately back to Luc Ferrari's electroacoustic piece 'Presque Rien N¡ 2'. I became curious about comparing the bird that was officiating in the garden of Cap15 (in the North area of Marseille) with the bird of 'Presque Rien'. My curiosity triggered the desire to play Luc s piece in the acoustic space of my house. With my rudimentary recorder I moved inside and outside the house moving back and forth between both spaces. I played with the depth of field, the beat between these two birds separated by 34 years and immersed myself in these acoustic events. This Ursprung or temporal Klein bottle was recorded and edited in one single sequence shot'. Very hard to confront with one of the all-time masterpieces of modern creation as Luc Ferrari's 'Presque Rien N¡ 2'... but listening to this piece you immediately get the impression of a prefectly accomplished work, published now on LP on your favorite label. So here is the first ever LP by eRikm, elegantly released with 'Presque Rien' iconic mouth picture on the sleeve; dedicated to Brunhild Ferrari and to Natacha Muslera. Edition limited to 350 copies.'

Lionel Marchetti: Alpha Z Centauris
(Mirror Tapes, 2011)
'I started recording sounds when I was 17 years old, in 1984 when by chance someone gave me a K7 tape recorder with 2 diverse speeds... I discovered recording sounds was already a full and poetic act which was able to be used for the experimental music which i was dreaming of. In 1987, after one month of hard work in a summer camp restaurant I bought a 4-track stereo tape recorder and I started a lot of experiments in my little flat in Lyon (France) : via an old Radiola radio from the 50's, my hifi system, an old synthesizer, my clarinet (I tried to play in water), a rhythm machine, a bad (good?) microphone etc. At that period I knew nothing about Revox tape recorders and the idea of tape montage. Nevertheless, when I started Katakomb (which is a part of a series of my first 33 little musique concrete compositions, I discovered how incredible was the changing of speed for a recorded sound, or all synthesizer sounds, voices... and the beautiful possibility to reverse all sounds - I was discovering the 'power' of a recorded sound. For me, the act of recording became an incredible acceleration to join a new poetic 'world' : Katakomb was the first composition which was talking to me from a 'nowhere' place as if, as a composer, I became a 'stranger'. Satan and Alpha Z Centauris are composed as little free musique concrete studies and they follow what I started in 1987 : the idea of an accumulation of little aphoristic studies which can communicate all together even if they are composed in diverse periods and studio places. I have, since that period and always today, numerous little study compositions following that direction and I am happy to build around them, via a first edition of my archives on Mirror Tapes which has founded a new architectural place of montage and perceptions.' L.M.*A professionally duplicated & factory sealed C30 cassette tape with tape inlay professionally offset printed in full-colour. Limited Edition : 250 copies only.'

that latter ensemble is the signal-to-noise touring group, which released a few nice documents [my preference is for the korber/weber/yamauchi one].
