yes and no, but that was specifically for the Jurg Frey piece, he changed his table drastically for the Cardew piece after that (more pics up soon).

that was the plan going in, but I didn't want to announce it before I was pretty sure that we pulled it off. one CD of other people's compositions (jurg frey-exact dimension without insistence, cardew-solo with accompaniment), one CD of theirs (radu-a 2010 piece called nariyamu, keith-his pollock '82 graphic score updated with a page written expressly for radu), one CD of improv.

actually what they think in this case doesn't have much to do with it, doing a triple CD was my idea beforehand and I'm the one confirming it now, I don't think either of them has even heard any of the recordings as of yet.

FWIW, I honestly think that while they were both very happy (and somewhat surprised) with the results, both wouldn't care much if none of it was released.

maybe your are a little cynical too. what's the problem with these 2 old genius geezers doing 3 cds? I see no harm in it. Hell I'd like to hear the 3 cds and the outtakes, or maybe there aren't any outakes since they're old and genious!

it's still very early in the process of converting recordings to a release, but the final release will indeed likely be close to the entire contents of the recording sessions.
