No line-ups announced through the website, but by some persistent Googling I've managed to find out that the Magic ID will be one concert.

I noticed this show on The Stone's website:
9/9 Thursday (CB)
8 pm
Christian Wolff at The Stone
Ikue Mori (electronics) Robyn Schulkowsky (percussion) Christian Wolff (piano)
Anyone know if he's playing any other shows around the time of this one?

as long as we're talking about the crossing the line / fiaf festival in the radigue thread, they have several awesome things this year: a richard garet audio-visual installation, plus ryoji ikeda installation AND two nights of concerts. i'm going to try to come up for the 9/10 ikeda concert (pretty cheap, too!) and definitely will see the installations at some point as well.

Re: Upcoming Shows 2010 (non promotional)
that's better than i expected, i thought sonic circuits was generally a pretty low-budget affair. lots of big internationals happening there.

Re: Upcoming Shows 2010 (non promotional)
Excellent programme for this year's Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival (19th to 28th November).
Full details here: http://www.hcmf.co.uk/
Some things that I'm particularly looking forward to:
John Tilbury / Rhodri Davies & Michael Duch performing works by Christian Wolff, Ben Patterson & 2 other composers I don't know + a trio improvisation
several programmes based round works by Rebecca Saunders throughout the week, especially high hopes for the concerts by Ensemble Recherche and 2 by MusikFabrik
a 12-hour realisation of Cage's Electronic Music for Piano by Philip Thomas
Mark Wastell / Joachim Nordwall duo + a new trio of Rhodri Davies, Angharad Davies & Lina Lapelyte with composer Claudia Molitor
Quatuour Bozzini with a concert of two works by Jennifer Walshe + an early quartet by Kagel
the Arditti Quartet playing works by the excellent Norwegian composer Ole-Hendrik Moe, plus another concert of works by Brian Ferneyhough
a concert by clarinettist Carl Rosman with works by Saunders, Kagel, Globokar & Ferneyhough
other realisations of pieces by Cage, including one inside James Turrell's Skyspace structure at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park
and The Cage Train; Alvin Curran & members of Apartment House and the Edges Ensemble exploring sound in movement on a commuter train
Just hope work allows me to attend as many of these as possible

eh it's not gonna work out for my schedule right now. I'd love to see it for obvious reasons. and not-so-obvious: when I first moved to NYC I ran sound at FIAF. lulz.jkudler wrote:anyone going to see ryoji ikeda in nyc this weekend? i was planning to go tomorrow (friday), but now it seems like it will be a big pain, so i'm wondering if i should put in the effort or not. thoughts?

So I made a thread about it before, but nobody responded, is anyone going to DC Sonic Circuits?
For those who have had experience, is Merzbow going to be as horrifyingly loud as I'm imagining? I'd really like to see him but I have a problem with deafening volume...
