the whole upcoming batch on arbor has me impatient. everyday loneliness is jon borges from pedestrian deposit, mirror to mirror is alex twomey's heavy synth outlet, brendan murray's most recent release work has excellent. lescalleet may be the cherry on top but the whole mess is cake. the part that kills me is that i know the lescalleet tape has been around since neon marshmallow, but of course i wasn't at neon marshmallow...

jesse, if you're referring to the 'sound of neighbors' cassette, i can confirm that it is excellent. and probably still around via distro though the label is sold out. if there's something newer on the horizon that's good news too.

yeah, Everyday Loneliness is great stuff - disarmingly simple, though I thought the double on callow god was better than the more recent ekhein tape. Interested to hear new stuff from Three Legged Race as well. Amplitude of Neighbors is still available from tonefilth, will grab one, thanks for the tip.

speaking of upcoming releases, why is it always impossible to know when to expect new ekhein material?

Another new Dave Phillips, on Little Enjoyer. I bought a copy from Dave when he was recently in New York. All field recordings and close in spirit to the previous two field recording discs. Only listened to some of it so far and it's very nice, longer tracks than the other Little Enjoyer disc, but covering similar territory (almost literally.)

Really nice artwork on it too, hats off on the design job, Mike!

That's the one.
Justin stocks shelves at my coop, so I see him every 5 days or so, making distro a non-factor for me.
I much prefer the Arbor release to the concurrent one on Tone Filth. I appreciate he is clam-happy with his gradually evolving Buchla synth, but some of his latest stuff sounds a bit like a catalog of possible sounds with that instrument.

It might also be worth noting, for those who had some trouble getting stuff from Ferraro when he was moving around a lot, that apparently OESBee is trying to make good on his past unfilled orders. Not sure if that's been a problem lately (the hubbub was a couple years ago), but hey.

Relieved to hear I'll be getting the LP + additional CD-R's free of charge, to compensate at last for a $40 payment (circa 2008) that's still in limbo.
