glad this thread is still going, and that stuff from ian is in the pipe. you can add another rats lp and one from bishop perry tillis to the list.

re: spiritual singers, i believe that's the source, not the mastering. great record.

i've got a few of the tapes, and a lazy friend in portland. wish i could get a hold of more, or a better friend.

have all but the most weirdo of the releases. lipa kodi and liap are my favorites.

can get why are we building such a big ship directly from the band, but mudd is right... no matrix number and nothing on the jacket or label, i think it's just distro'd by MR. also not very good. ;)

*bumP* Cuz it needs to happen. Mississippi has put out a ton of fantastic releases, both vinyl & tape. The eclecticism of their output is surpassed only by its coolness. Thumbs sincerely up.

been having a hard time keeping up with the listening, they've certainly been busy. new abner jay and another blues comp are the latest.

Busy indeed. I think the stock numbers on the cassettes are up in the fifties now. And the LPs keep on coming too! Keeping up with them is a good problem to have, IMO. ;)

Currently listening to a Mississippi Recs reissue of a sweet Mississippi Fred McDowell LP. Really good.
