Re: You Tube
I just uploaded this last night, Jean Tinguely's Homage to New York as covertly cribbed from the current Tate Liverpool show. The footage has been diced and spliced fairly harshly, and interesting portions have been left out for no apparent reason, but considering how scarce the film of this event is it still well worth watching. If anyone wants to duplicate it elsewhere, pm me and I can ysi the avi. As you can tell i'm on a mission to bootleg - too few people have seen this.

Good work agent Cornford... good exhibition I thought, left feeling quite exhilirated! Janek Schaefer was also very good I thought.Stephen wrote:I just uploaded this last night, Jean Tinguely's Homage to New York as covertly cribbed from the current Tate Liverpool show. The Year-End round-ups from my blogs, which are largely compendiums of YouTube clips:

http://bugmelater.blogspot.com/2009/12/ ... eview.html
Not particularly high in EAI content, but some may be amused...

"French artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot creates works by drawing on the rhythms of daily life to produce sound in unexpected ways.
For his installation in The Curve, Boursier-Mougenot creates a walk-though aviary for a flock of zebra finches, furnished with electric guitars and other musical instruments. As the birds go about their routine activities, perching on or feeding from the various pieces of equipment, they create a captivating, live soundscape."
A rather endearing performance...

if you don't know about the "Amen break"-sample already, here's an 18-minute documentary about it:

maybe this is common knowledge to most, I dunno, but I was a bit baffled. Kinda explains why so much drum&bass etc sounds the same.
