Robert Worby presents a rare performance of pieces from Stockhausen's Aus Den Sieben Tagen, recorded at the 2008 Cut and Splice Festival in London. These text pieces from 1968 are performed by leading new music interpreters including Maja Ratkje, Phil Minton, Aleks Kolkowski, David Behrman, laptop quartet 2021 and Apartment House ensemble.
The first piece is performed by Neil Luck and Matthew Knowles, who will prepare, as instructed by the composer, by fasting and remaining solitary for four days beforehand.

There are also 2 or 3 discs (inc. "Being"), which are quite good, but I like them less, so I can't honestly recommend them.
And of course there are some I didn't like at all.

An Amor Fati roundup will, I hope, be published in the next issue of the unreadably bold viral guerrilla webzine I edit; I agree with you about Dordogne and Pick-Up, Tadeusz, but was slightly less impressed by W (I much prefer Jean-Luc's duo with Murayama - Benjamin is a great bassist but he never really sounds comfortable doing the minimal shit) and thought the Trio de Batterie dragged (voilà - who said I never criticised people I play with myself?!). On the other hand, I think the Paul Rogers solo bass disc Being is fabulous.

one cannot rely on my personal taste, but (as we agree on those two) Dordogne and Pick-Up are recommended, aren't they ? and what do you think about The Gernika Suite, Dan ?

The music is superb, and it sounds okay with iida intoning in Japanese over it. The packaging is gorgeous. The poems, though (at least the English translations) don't appeal to me at all, though, but hey, I can't hear that on the disc.

I recommend it if only for the chance to hear Ryu at the height of his powers (so far).

Sounds like it could be promising to me. I'm quite interested in literature and so it has a different appeal than another disc might.

I've only heard a tiny bit of Ryu's music by means of 5 Modules I, which I just bought, and while I am not certain about who is playing what sound at what time, I think it's a pretty interesting disc and will hopefully be rewarding on multiple listens.
