I've been listening to things I haven't heard in a while to weed out some discs, but this isn't going anywhere!

Richard's influence there. I liked the wandelweiser cd better I think, but it's only my 1st listen so... Impressive nonetheless. I have seen a 4-CD collection of his tape works only. It's expensive, so does anyone know if it's worth grabbing for a neophyte ?

"à la manière de borodine" is one of my favorite pieces of music. I wonder how tharaud's interpretation is...

Experimental music should be something that suggests a way of organizing your thinking, your attitude toward the world, which suggests that the world could be different.

Well I don't know about a 4CD set... I have a (very cheap) two disc set on the Stradivarius label. In general his solo tape material does little for me. The very earliest piece he made in 1966 that opens my set was quite promising, but after that the music becomes more focussed on lengthy political speeches in foreign tongues and loses a lot of the musical vitality for me.
