Amsterdam record shops

Nowadays it's sadly quite rare that i set foot in a proper 3D record shop, but going abroad is a good opportunity.. not the same old shite which has been clogging the shelves for months.

Off to Amsterdam for a long weekend soon and wondering if there are any good shops there now that Staalplaat has moved? I'm interested in experimental music of many eras and styles

There should be the Staalplat record store somewhere, even if i didn't visit it while there. I remember also the record shop owned by Solex, somewhere round the Dam, even if not that experimental.

staalplaat moved to berlin.

you have the independent outlet store. but that's more punk/hc focussed.

the best is prob. concerto, which is a big cd/vinyl shop on edwaardstraat past the rembrantplein. if you keep going, then turn right on... weterinschans (?), there's a good classical cd store before you get to where the paradiso is. that's about it... -k

Boudisque is fucking quality. Was able to get some Raison d'Etre, Deathspell Omega, Coil, Schloss Tegal etc there - all cheap as fuck.

They stock a lot of more mainstream stuff, but one half of the shop is pure gold. You won't get a real feel for it until you actually go there though.
