i really like how you can choose your own skin for the forum. while the black and gray looked cool, the reversed out type bothered my eyes. anyone ever wonder if the darkness affected people psychologically? :geek:

On the subject of IHM, with all sub-forums back to square one, we may find sport overtaking music in posting volume, if the size of the parent JazzCorner threads is anything to go by.

Holy crap. the truth of this username never even occurred to me. Wow. My mind clearly isn't as dirty as I imagined.

There could be a way to correct the corruption of the backup, but then again I don't have any experience with online code. Of course, a fresh start is good too.

I'm sorry, did somebody say something?

Just playin', Kudler. I keep my friends close and my foes even closer. ;)

Well it's a new beginning. Things could be worse. Don't feel bad Mudd. Thanks for getting it back up so soon.

mudd wrote:well, i have a lot (~350 MB) of the board content in the broken backup file, but that appears to be all. if anyone knows anything about extracting the tables that still exist into some sort of usable format, please get in touch. i know for certain the user table was lost, but the others might actually be intact.

m

well, if you manage this through phpmyadmin, you just could export the tables in an sql format, so you can import the sql file into the new database. exporting per table is possible.
if that's what you mean..?

I've often wondered, and this seems a good time to ask, is your nickname a reference to the notorious "Noodle Incident" from Calvin and Hobbes?
