I believe it was that album that I had on fairly quietly when my roommate's mother came in and said, quite sincerly, 'Does anyone hear that noise? I think there's something wrong with the plumbing...' My roommate perceptively pointed out that it was actually my music, perceptively because there's n...

I don't have an NT2A myself but I've heard excellent things about it in regard to instrument recording. Don't know how it fares on vocals.

The vocal mic I've really fallen in love with lately is the Beyer M88.

I never really got into PTV from their studio recordings. Something always felt kind of emotionally empty and blah.

But then I bought a couple of their live discs and finally "got it." As has been stated, those are where it's really at.

2046 (wong kar-wai, 2005) sort of a sequel to "in the mood for love." shares the same gauzy visual beauty. story of a gigolo who falls in love with a prostitute, and several other women. there's also a sort of sci-fi story that is woven into this as a context, although one that's probably purely me...

Brad Moen is a local singer. Brad is kind of like a creative Mike Patton, or a decadent western Eye - he handles the vocal duties for Wayne Horvitz's local performances of Naked City material. Just noticed your writup from this show and I wanted to comment on the Mowen notes (If there really isn't ...

Beautifully written notes on the evenings, mudd. Wish I could have been there night 2 and I expect tonight's going to leave me just as saddened by my absence (though matinee, here I hopefully come if I can get out of a scheduled meeting) but I guess I might as well give my two cents about what I hea...

My vote goes to Ringolevio by Emmett Grogan.
