Re: help me find OOP stuff
Looking for someone in the US who may have Eliane Radigue's Chry-ptus set on School Map. Also willing to order from Europe if need be for it, though I haven't ordered anything from Europe in ages, so if you know a good mail-order that would be great. Thank you!

Re: jason lescalleet
Can't wait for him to play this Wednesday with Aaron Dilloway at NTC.
In the meantime, this may seem dumb, but does anyone have a problem with the plastic sleeve that "The Pilgrim" comes in? I can't get the blue sleeve to fit back in it, at all.

Organum - Volume One CD on Robot.
Tried ordering from Kevin at Robot, and he was out of stock. The cheapest price on Discogs right now is $35, which is a bit ridiculous. Since a new copy would be ~$15 and shipping being what it is, I'll pay to $20 for a copy. Cheers!

Do you use a radio as an instrument? Q&A inside
Surprised that there isn't a dedicated thread about this in either I Hate Music or I Hate Making Music. I decided to put this in I Hate Music because I know this will get more traffic here from the regulars, etc. I'm starting/planning a concert soon-ish in which I will be using a multi-band radio as...

Just finished reading Osamu Tezuka's take on Buddha. Now going back and re-reading several passages. Shit's incredible.

Re: Music books
Currently reading Bruce Russell's Left-Handed Blows , which I acquired through Oberlin College's library. It's a pretty interesting, and thankfully straight-forward, read. Even though I do not have a real background in art theory or philosophy, I'm having an easy-enough time understanding his points...

Re: extended techniques for turntable?
Friends of mine were using a classic Califone turntable (the kind that populate schools, as they were made for educational purposes), with crushed pop cans taped to the platter. The cans would hang off of the sides and make pretty great knocking and light scraping sounds.

Re: Old library/early electronic records
The Creel Pone CD-Rs as issued/bootlegged by Keith Fullerton Whitman are a great place to start. That they're cheap (between 7 and 15 bucks) and well done are a bonus. A lot of them are now being reissued properly as well, which is also good news. The latest is Dub Taylor's "lumière for synthesized ...
