To be clear, I probably watched as many games in all this season as you have in April, but yes, I'm picking the Celtics to win.
Obviously you don't agree, but I do consider you to be a civilised gentleman capable of reasoned, mature discussion and tolerant of opinions that differ from his own.

Re: College Basketball '09-'10
I entered, but don't fully understand the upset thing. Let's say in round 2 i predict a #5 seed to beat a #4 seed, but in reality the #5 beats the #13 seed. I assume that doesn't get a bonus point. Let's say i predict 12 over 13 in the 2nd round, but in reality 12 beats 4. Do i get a bonus point? Fi...

Re: Vancouver 2010
The Hannah Storm comments? Kornholer is the biggest dumbfuck in the sports world now that Theismann is out of the picture. Though, Jon Gruden is trying way too hard to replace his dumbfuckery wholesale on the Monday night football games. Either way, Storm may not be quite as hot as she was 10 years...

Also the old men dominated, even though the team is super young. The 3 oldest American skaters scored 4 of the 5 goals.

Re: Vancouver 2010
I haven't had any free time since the hockey started, but it's a great city from what i've seen. Feels very much like an American city. Very pretty as well, and i haven't even gotten up to Whistler. Definitely having fun, although the hours are brutal and the work is very busy.

"]jon, is Brotherman still on FB at all? I want to ask him if he's working any of the games this year. I'm at Canada Hockey Place (formerly GM Place) for the duration. Situated in the owner's box at center ice. Not a bad gig, really. Sweet doubleheader last night; Slovakia over Russia was quite goo...

I'm done with this shit as well. This will hopefully be my last post on any of these sites, but since you feel the need to delete all your posts... Brotherman and I can throwdown with the best of them. It's nothing personal, and I take no offense. Besides, it's just getting good! :D Post-season form...

Re: NFL 2009
I'll refer any further questions, as should be the case with everyone here, to Bob and Tom the football experts. Hell, the experts on everything, really. This is one of the reasons why I've been honestly trying to cut back my online time. Tom, please delete my posts from this thread. Thanks. Piece ...

Re: NFL 2009
I think firing Shanahan was asinine, and trading Cutler was worse. This McDaniels character alienated their 2 best players before coaching a down; well done.
I will thoroughly enjoy how bad that team should be.

Re: NFL 2009
Those obscure "stats" I'm citing, playoff wins and 'reaching the divisional playoffs' are just slightly more relevant than the idiotic rankings you like to cite, based only on total yards and not factoring in points. I don't care whether you've been watching football for 75 years. You seem to think ...

Re: NFL 2009
IMO, the Chargers really aren't a very good team. They have been on a downward trend for the past two seasons and pardon me for not being able to find a reason as to why they are going to magically reverse it in a substantial way. Teams who have reached the Divisional Playoffs in each of the last 2...

And my God, do you love to argue. no i don't. yes you do. no yes no yes no yes. I'd like to hear how they can win 10 games with this schedule and still not impress you. Re: NFL 2009
Oakland could just as easily win that division as SD. Now, I don't think they will, but there are some really nice pieces in place. One of the reasons it's frustrating talking about football with you is that you state opinion as fact, and then get outraged and offended when I think your opinion is ...

Re: NFL 2009
What's funny is that I actually think less of the Chargers overall than most people and virtually all of the media seems to. I see a lot more flaws. WR has actually been a huge weakness of this team for 25 years, since Chandler and Joiner (and Jefferson) stopped playing, and I actually think this is...

Federer is 11-0 against Soderling, losing 1 set in the process (in '05). Seeding aside, I'm calling that an easy match.jon abbey wrote: no easy matches for anyone from the round of 16 on
